Band Sessions for Schools – Inspiring the Next Generation of Musicians

Our weekly Band Sessions give young musicians the chance to rehearse, perform, and grow – together. Led by our expert tutors, these sessions focus on Rock and Pop music that students are genuinely excited about. It’s about making music relevant, fun, and educational. Band Sessions are suitable for Year 4 – Year 13.

Rehearse Perform and Shine on Stage

Each term includes 10 one-hour rehearsals, where band members:

  • Learn how to play effectively as a group
  • Gain confidence through regular guided rehearsals
  • Prepare for an end-of-term live gig at school in front of friends, family, and staff

Bands are kept small (4 to 6 students) to give everyone a real voice. All instruments are welcome, and students are grouped by age and experience to ensure a positive musical and social experience.

Ideal for GCSE, A-Level and Duke of Edinburgh Awards

For students in KS3, KS4 and KS5, Band Sessions are the perfect way to support:

  • Performance requirements of GCSE, BTEC and A-Level Music
  • Duke of Edinburgh Awards at Bronze, Silver, and Gold level

Every band also has the option of working towards a recognised RSL Award in Group Performance (Music) — a fantastic way to showcase progress and gain accreditation.

Fees and Payment Options

All Band Sessions fees are charged directly to parents and are per student.

We offer two easy ways to pay:

  • £240 per term (one-off payment)
  • £92 per month – split over three payments (includes a 5% admin fee)

There are no hidden extras — just expert tuition, performance opportunities, and a rewarding experience every term.

Coming together and playing great music with your friends is an amazing experience. But being in a band can also teach students important life skills. It requires teamwork and negotiation. Individuals have to take responsibility for their contribution and be prepared through practice. Each performance is an opportunity to step onstage and build confidence by challenging yourself.

Band Sessions help nurture a lasting love of music, a set of wonderful memories and a comfortable confidence that students can carry into everything they do.
