INCLUSIVE APPROACH

The first step is a conversation — you tell us about your pupils, their needs, and what your aspirations are for them. We then source the tutors who can make that vision come to life.

All our tutors are Enhanced DBS checked, trained in Safeguarding and SEND (NSPCC), and complete Band Project training focused on our student-led, inclusive approach. Any school-specific training required is completed before lessons begin.

We only onboard a maximum of 10 new schools each term to ensure we never compromise on our bespoke approach and can build genuine relationships with each school, developing a real understanding of their pupils and priorities. The Band Project is suitable for Year 4 – Year 13.

Instrument Lessons

Our peripatetic lessons don’t just teach notes — they spark a love of music. Every lesson is tailored to each student’s goals, interests, and pace.

Lessons currently available for Vocals, Guitar, Piano, Bass, Drums – other instruments are available on request (minimum four students).

Pricing per term (10 lessons, 30 minutes each):

2:1 lessons: £179 per student
1:1 lessons: £249 per student

Lessons can be funded by the school, trust, or charged directly to parents. All lessons are tailored to meet the needs of every pupil, including those with additional learning or accessibility requirements.

GROUP SESSIONS

We offer three types of group sessions to engage, inspire, and build the confidence of your pupils.

Band Sessions
For pupils who already play an instrument. Students form a band, learn the music they love, and perform at an end-of-term gig. Great for group or performance experience and supporting GCSE, BTEC, or A Level music requirements.

10 sessions x 45 minutes, 4 – 6 pupils per band
£189 per person

Sound Sessions
Participation is the focus. Pupils explore sounds and rhythm in a judgement-free, unpressured space. Perfect for younger ages, those with more complex needs or those who have never played instruments before.

10 sessions x 45 minutes, 4 – 6 pupils per group
£159 per person

Choir Sessions
Students explore songs from rock, pop, and musical theatre. Includes confidence-building performance work, basic movement, and choreography.

10 sessions x 45 minutes, 8 – 15 pupils per Choir
£129 per person

All Group Sessions are perfect for supporting the Model Music Curriculum across KS1–KS3 as well as for those taking KS4 and KS5 music options.

At LVS Hassocks, we have been delighted to partner with The Band Project to provide high-quality peripatetic music lessons across drums, guitars, keyboards and vocals. All of our students have autism as their primary need, and the programme has opened up unique opportunities for them to express themselves, develop new skills, and experience the joy of making music.
