The Band Project is the complete band experience for musicians aged 8 – 18 years old. Our courses offer weekly 1 or 2 hour rehearsals in fully equipped practice rooms, gigging musicians as tutors and authentic gigs in real venues at the end of every course. All bands are grouped by age and experience for the best fit socially and musically.

Our bands spend 10 weeks learning and arranging a set of songs they’ve chosen ready to perform live. Throughout the course each bands tutor will guide them through all aspects of being in a band – demonstrate all parts, live performance skills, arrangement ideas, interpreting songs in different styles, mash ups, solos etc. Specialist tutors – Drum or Vocal coaches – may also work with bands during the term where needed.

For older students doing their Duke of Edinburgh awards The Band Project course can be used as part of that and the course can also be used to support the performance units of the GCSE and A Level syllabus.

The Band Project is open to the core band instruments:

  • Vocals
  • Guitar
  • Keyboards
  • Bass
  • Drums

We also accept Brass, Wind and String instruments either as individuals as part of a band or working in String sections and Horn sections performing with multiple bands. Sections are grouped by age and experience as with the bands.
