“THE MOMENT YOU FEEL SATISFIED IN YOUR ABILITIES IS THE MOMENT YOU STOP LEARNING.”
– DAVID BOWIE
The Band Project offers three different courses:
The Band Project Juniors for four to seven year olds is a brilliant introduction to the core rock band instruments as well as playing and performing in a group. The Juniors course lays the foundations for groups to start their bands, discover the instrument(s) they love and want to play, and gives budding little rock stars the chance to play their first shows – better than gigs for this age group possibly?
The Band Project for eight to eighteen year olds offers weekly two hour rehearsals in fully equipped practice rooms, gigging musicians as tutors, the chance to record in professional studios and end of course gigs in real venues. For older students in this age group The Band Project’s courses support units of GCSE and A-Level music and can be used for the Duke of Edinburgh awards. As bands develop and if it’s requested we can also include songwriting within the sessions so bands can perform originals at their gigs.
The Band Project Adults is aimed for anyone nineteen and above who always dreamed of playing in a band or maybe used to play in a band and want to find a way back into. The course follows the same model as the eight year old sessions of weekly two hour rehearsals, the chance to record in professional studios and gigs in real venues for friends and family, which are always a fantastic night out. It’s a socially orientated, relaxed and non judgemental environment for anyone joining to have fun, play great music, meet new friends and maybe do something you never thought you could.
